Game day is coming up and I have been looking for a little hand held treat. Pulled Pork Sliders to the rescue. Enjoy a sweet and smoky bbq sauce tossed with slow roasted, shredded pork, topped with a nice contrasting sharp cole slaw all served on a toasted slider bun. Yes, please.

Pulled Pork Slider

1.5lb sirloin pork roast

1T salt

1/2t pepper

1c sweet smoky bbq sauce

1 package precut cole slaw mix

1 sharp slaw dressing

1 package slider buns

Two hours, or the night before cooking, generously salt the 1.5lb sirloin pork roast (1T salt or more as needed) on all sides, and let sit.

After two hours, using a paper towel, dab off any excess salt or moisture.

In a saucepan on medium high heat, sere all sides of the roast, then place in a crock pot.

Using 1/2t pepper, pepper the roast. Cook on low for 3 to 4 hours. Generally, a roast should be cooked for 2 hours per pound in a crock pot.

Place the 16 oz cole slaw vegetables in a sealable bag. Toss with sharp slaw dressings and place in the fridge. Every hour turn the bag over.

After the pork is cooked, shred the pork with two forks.

Toss with 1c sweet smokey bbq sauce.

To Serve:

Toast (optional) slider roll, top with pork and cole slaw.
